warm greetings - a father's passing

a lasting love i sent to sea
a treasure for another’s shore,
captured by the setting sun
he waves goodbye to me

turning east unto the power
which drifts upon the breeze
it draws me in with it’s aroma
and back upon my knees

erotic encounters among the garlic
it’s heady scent begins anew
recollecting among the rows
pleasures of his past i know

appearing at the fire again
as though you never left
you come and sit and soon will get
warm greetings from the rest
